Some spas temper waxing anxiety with candles and soft music. The Wax Bar serves drinks. We sipped a raspberry beer in the lounge and felt at ease by the time Jahn smoothed on a pine-based wax. The shocking speed of each rip was sobering, and we gasped more than once during the session, but after five minutes, there was nothing left but a few strays that she whisked away with tweezers.
